Front-end Developer (with a heart for accessibility)

We're looking for
You either have a design background or a keen interest in design, and you enjoy collaborating with UX and UI teams in sculpt sessions.
Proficient in using Figma (from a development perspective)
You have thorough knowledge of HTML, (s)css and (ES6) JavaScript
You care about standards and semantics, microdata, and clean & performant code
You’re familiar with ITCSS and BEM notation
You understand the challenges people with disabilities face online and familiar with WCAG.
Decent experience with one or multiple Javascript frameworks (React, Vue, …)
Experience consuming third-party APIs (JSON / REST / GraphQL)
Experience with version control software (Git)
Experience with developing large B2B and B2C web apps is a bonus
Familiarity with scrum and working in an agile environment
Eat your own dog food: Conduct thorough accessibility tests of the product you’re building to ensure compliance with accessibility standards.
Strong soft skills to gradually raise awareness and show your clients, team members, and other stakeholders the value of digital accessibility
You write in clear language. Mostly Dutch and English, French is a plus.
IAAP certification as a web accessibility specialist is a plus. We’ll assist you in getting certified if you do not have it yet.
You look up to accessibility champions like Scott O'Hara, Adrian Roselli, and Sara Soueidan.
You don't have to tick all the boxes. We'll focus on your strengths and help build the other competencies along the way.
