Business Analyst (Freelance)

Craftzing is looking for a freelance Business Analyst who feels equally at home in a strategic ERP discussion as in a hands-on process workshop with operational teams. Someone who does not just document requirements, but actively shapes solutions and brings structure to complex transformations.

Do you have a sharp analytical mind, a strong grasp of end-to-end business processes, and a natural ability to bridge business and IT? Then you will probably feel right at home here.

About the job:

As a freelance Business Analyst at Craftzing, you will be embedded in a large-scale ERP transformation project at one of our clients in the food industry. You will act as the key link between business stakeholders and the implementation team, ensuring that operational requirements are translated into clear, actionable functional designs and that the solution delivered actually fits the way people work on the ground.

What you’ll do:

ERP transformation

  • Participate in all phases of the ERP implementation: from blueprint and design through configuration, UAT, go-live and hypercare

  • Facilitate workshops with business teams to map current processes and define future-state flows

  • Consolidate and validate functional requirements, including user requirements and functional design documents

  • Ensure consistency between processes, data, tooling and organisation

  • Coordinate data preparation and migration activities: master data, data quality, mappings and business rules

  • Support user acceptance testing: scenario definition, script writing, execution and anomaly tracking

  • Document To-Be processes, procedures and user guides

  • Actively contribute to change management and end-user training

Process analysis and optimisation

  • Map As-Is processes across domains including Supply Chain, Production, Quality, Finance and Warehouse

  • Build To-Be flows in close collaboration with the integrator and business owners

  • Identify inefficiencies, integration gaps, dependencies and operational risks

  • Challenge business requirements constructively to ensure feasibility, consistency and added value

  • Write functional specifications and define solutions to implement

Functional support

  • Serve as the internal point of contact for functional questions related to the applications in scope

  • Propose improvements to the quality and security of solutions

  • Provide expert support and resolve complex functional issues

Who we're looking for:

  • You have 2 to 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst, Process Analyst or in an analytical operational role

  • You have proven experience in ERP implementation projects; Microsoft Dynamics, Odoo, SAP, D365 or similar platforms

  • You have strong knowledge of operational processes in an industrial environment: Supply Chain, Planning, Production, Quality, Finance and Warehouse

  • You are skilled in process modelling, ideally using BPMN standards

  • You can clearly document workflows, business rules, test scenarios and impact matrices

  • You are comfortable with analysis tools such as Excel, BPM tooling and Power BI

  • You are Primarily fluent in French and English/Dutch
