Craftzing is looking for a senior (.NET/C#) software engineer to build and launch digital platforms. Someone who likes a complex challenge, talk to business about technical matters, can lead a development team and build custom solutions from scratch.

What you'll do:

  • Architect and build scalable, high-performance .NET applications that stand up to real-world load.

  • Design and implement clean, modular and efficient software solutions.

  • Take ownership of the robustness and architecture of the application, designing for scalability, security and performance from the start.

  • Make and defend sound architecture decisions, and anticipate how systems need to scale.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and clients in a hybrid work environment.

  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship, and set the technical direction for the team.

  • Work in an Agile/Scrum environment, ensuring timely and high-quality deliveries.


Who we're looking for:

  • Minimum 10 years of proven experience in a similar role

  • Expert in C# and the .NET ecosystem

  • Hands-on experience with CQRS for separating command and query responsibilities

  • Expert in system integration: You seamlessly connect application components, APIs, and services to create a cohesive, high-performing solution

  • Experience building REST/GraphQL APIs and writing API middleware 

  • Experience with Entity Framework, LINQ, and relational databases (SQL Server, PostgreSQL)

  • Experience with cloud platforms, ideally Microsoft Azure (App Service, Functions, Service Bus)

  • Experience with version control software 

  • Experience in incorporating AI-tooling into your workflows

  • Familiarity with scrum and working in an agile environment

  • You are a team player with good communication skills

  • You are detail-oriented with a focus on code quality and best practices

  • You have a proactive problem-solving mindset

  • You have a passion for continuous learning and innovation

  • Fluent in English; Dutch is a plus

  • You are located in Belgium.

Bonus points:

  • Experience using TypeScript in back-end environments (Node.js with NestJS, Express or Fastify) 

  • Experience with React

  • Experience developing products and platforms for the maritime sector

  • You can demonstrate your skills using a couple of real world projects
